🎛️How to Filter your User Analytics?

The filters give you control over the data you want to analyze by allowing you to specify key aspects such as applications, interactions, and time periods.
There are 4 filters:
Applications: Select the specific application(s) you're interested in. You can choose one or select 'All Applications' to analyze data across all available apps.
Interactions: This allows you to focus on specific types of user interactions within the applications.
Period: Choose the time frame for your analysis based on the frequency at which you expect your application to be used, whether it's daily, weekly, or monthly.
Date: This filter allows users to go back in time and select a date earlier than the most recent one.
The Application Filter lets you focus your analysis on a specific app within your Toucan platform. You can either select one app for a detailed view or choose 'All Applications' to see data across all apps at once.
The Interaction Filter helps you focus your analysis by allowing you to select a specific type of user interaction within the application. This makes it easier to understand how users are engaging with different parts of the system.
Available interactions in the filter include:
All Interactions: This option combines and displays data for every type of interaction.
Stories: View data on how users engage with stories within the application. If a user views 3 stories, each view is counted as a separate interaction, meaning 3 interactions will be recorded, not just one.
Homepage: Analyze interactions on the main homepage, including visits and actions taken.
PDF Reports: Focus on interactions where users view PDF reports.
Send Home by Mail: See data related to the number of homepages a user sends to another user (or to themselves) via email.
My Favorites: Examine data on the number of personal "dashboards" (My Favorites) that users have viewed.
Datawall: View data on the number of Datawalls launched by a user.
Stories Shared by Mail: Track how often stories are shared via email.
Embedded Charts: User viewing an embedded chart (tile, story or dashboard)
Embedded Dashboard - PDF Export: User exporting an embedded dashboard in PDF
Embedded Dashboard - Excel Export: User exporting data from an embedded dashboard
The Period Filter allows you to select the time frame for your analysis, offering three options: monthly, weekly, or daily.
Monthly: Best for tracking long-term trends, like engagement across multiple months.
Weekly: Ideal for understanding short-term patterns, such as weekly user activity or engagement shifts.
Daily: Use this for a detailed, day-by-day analysis of user behavior, perfect for pinpointing specific daily trends.
The Period Filter works closely with the Date Filter, which allows you to further specify the exact date range within the selected period:
Monthly selection: It allows you to select any month since you are a client of Toucan.
Weekly selection: It allows you to select one of the last 12 weeks.
Daily selection: It allows you to select one of the last 30 days.
